The production process of carburizer mainly includes the following steps:
Raw material preparation: The raw materials of carburizer are various, and the common ones are coke, graphite, coal tar, etc. Coke should be of good quality and high hardness; graphite should be of uniform particle size and high purity; coal tar should be of good quality and high asphalt content.
Crushing and screening: Crush the coke and graphite to screen out powders of suitable size range. The particle size of coke powder and graphite powder needs to be strictly controlled to ensure the smooth progress of subsequent processes.
Mixing: Mix the coke powder and graphite powder evenly in a certain proportion, then add them to the coal tar preheated to about 100℃, and stir evenly.
Reduction reaction and carbonization: In a nitrogen atmosphere, heat the mixture to about 1200℃ for reduction reaction, and then heat it to about 1800℃ in an inert atmosphere for carbonization.
Cooling and packaging: The carbonized mixture is cooled to room temperature and then packaged. Carbonizers are usually packaged in plastic bags or paper bags, and moisture-proof materials are added to the outer layer.
Classification and application of carbonizers:
Petroleum coke carbonizer: This is the most widely used carbonizer. Petroleum coke is divided into delayed coke, kettle coke, fluidized coke and open-hearth coke according to the coking production process. According to the heat treatment temperature, it is divided into two types: raw coke and calcined coke (calcined coke).
Artificial graphite carbonizer: Powdered high-quality calcined petroleum coke is used as the main raw material, asphalt is added as a binder, and a small amount of other auxiliary materials are added. After pressing and forming, it is treated in a high-temperature, non-oxidizing atmosphere to graphitize it.
Natural graphite carbonizer: Natural graphite can be divided into two types: flake graphite and microcrystalline graphite. Medium carbon graphite is commonly used.
Composite material recarburizer: Use graphite powder, coke powder, petroleum coke and other waste materials, add binder and press them into shape by machine.
Role of recarburizer in steel production:
Recarburizer is mainly used to increase the carbon content and hardness of steel and improve the physical properties of steel in steel production. By using recarburizer, the amount of pig iron can be reduced and the amount of scrap steel can be increased, thereby reducing production costs and improving the mechanical properties and processing properties of materials
