PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
In the steel smelting process, UHP700mm graphite electrodes are used in electric arc furnaces , which are commonly used for steel production. The UHP700mm electrode is capable of handling high currents and is suitable for the high energy consumption required in large-scale steel production. It plays a crucial role in generating and sustaining the arc, which reaches extremely high temperatures to melt scrap steel and other metal raw materials. The UHP700mm graphite electrode helps effectively melt and refine the raw materials, resulting in high-quality steel products.
UHP700mm electrodes are also applied in the silicon metallurgy process, particularly in submerged arc furnaces (SAF). SAF are typically used to extract metallic silicon from materials such as silica dioxide (e.g., quartz) and carbon (e.g., tar). The necessary electrical energy provided by UHP700mm electrodes is used to heat and melt the raw materials, thereby producing metallic silicon.
PRODUCT FEATURE AND APPLICATION
The 700mm diameter ultra-high power graphite electrode is mainly used in high-capacity ultra-high power DC arc furnaces as a high-temperature resistant graphite conductive material. Due to its high technological content and complex manufacturing process, this electrode has extremely high added value in both domestic and international markets.
Specific application scenarios
Large capacity ultra-high power DC arc furnace: The 700mm diameter ultra-high power graphite electrode is subjected to high temperature and strong current in the large capacity arc furnace, ensuring the efficient operation of the electric furnace.
Steelmaking industry: mainly used for ultra-high power electric furnace steelmaking, improving the efficiency of electrolytic cells, with strong current carrying capacity, thereby enhancing the efficiency and quality of steel production.
CAUTIONS IN USE OF GRAPHITE ELECTRODES:
1,The damp electrodes should be dried before use.Take off the foam cover in the socket and check the completeness of thread.
2,Before connecting the electrode and nipple, please make sure that the pitch plug won't fall off. Clean the dust on the electrode face and hole with compressed air, and the new nipple shall be ali gned to the center of the socket, and twisted vertically and slowly. The force should be stable and even.
3,A set of connected electrodes shall not be placed horizontally to avoid fracture.
4,If there is any space between two connected electrodes, please find out the reason and reconnect them. The space should be less than 0.05mm.
5,The electrode holder should be held below the salety line, to avoid clamping the socket or nipple.
6,When charging the materials into the electric furnace, the bulk materials and insulators should be placed at the bottom of the electric furnace to avoid electrode fracture.
7,Please pay attention to avoid the damage of the electrode caused by the friction collision on the furnace cover when the electrode is rising or falling.
