PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
In the steel smelting process, UHP800mm graphite electrodes are used in electric arc furnaces (EAFs), which are commonly used for steel production. The UHP800mm electrode is capable of handling high currents and is suitable for the high energy consumption required in large-scale steel production. It plays a crucial role in generating and sustaining the arc, which reaches extremely high temperatures to melt scrap steel and other metal raw materials. The UHP800mm graphite electrode helps effectively melt and refine the raw materials, resulting in high-quality steel products.
PRODUCT FEATURE AND APPLICATION
The main applications of ultra-high power graphite electrodes include the following aspects:
Steelmaking: Ultra high power graphite electrodes are mainly used for ultra-high power electric furnace steelmaking, which can significantly improve the efficiency of electrolytic cells, have strong current carrying capacity, and are suitable for large-scale electric furnace steelmaking.
Lithium battery negative electrode material: Needle shaped coke is one of the main raw materials for ultra-high power graphite electrodes, which has good electrical and thermal conductivity and is widely used in the manufacturing of lithium battery negative electrode materials.
Other applications: Although ultra-high power graphite electrodes are most widely used in the steelmaking industry, their high conductivity and high temperature resistance also make them have potential applications in other fields, such as chemical, mechanical manufacturing, and environmental protection industries.
CAUTIONS IN USE OF GRAPHITE ELECTRODES:
1,The damp electrodes should be dried before use.Take off the foam cover in the socket and check the completeness of thread.
2,Before connecting the electrode and nipple, please make sure that the pitch plug won't fall off. Clean the dust on the electrode face and hole with compressed air, and the new nipple shall be ali gned to the center of the socket, and twisted vertically and slowly. The force should be stable and even.
3,A set of connected electrodes shall not be placed horizontally to avoid fracture.
4,If there is any space between two connected electrodes, please find out the reason and reconnect them. The space should be less than 0.05mm.
5,The electrode holder should be held below the salety line, to avoid clamping the socket or nipple.
6,When charging the materials into the electric furnace, the bulk materials and insulators should be placed at the bottom of the electric furnace to avoid electrode fracture.
7,Please pay attention to avoid the damage of the electrode caused by the friction collision on the furnace cover when the electrode is rising or falling.
